Time flies

1 min read
Wow...it's almost been a year since I arrived in Korea, and I'm leaving so soon! What do I have to show for it on dA? Not a whole hell of a lot. I have literally thousands upon thousands of pictures, but I haven't had much time to go through them all. So, I thought tonight would be as good a time as any to start. I've seen so much of Korea that I'm ready to move on from here and go teach English in another country. I'm hoping to go to France next!

I will be uploading many photos soon, I mean it!

I'm Back...ish

Well, I'm here, in South Korea, have been for almost 2 months now. I can't believe how quickly time flies. I've been away from dA for waaay too long. But uploading 4 new photos just now since, I dunno - last summer, and having people comment and favorite them almost instantly gave me a good taste of what I've been missing.
My camera is on the verge of destruction - I'm not even exaggerating, it's actually falling apart. It's high time I invested in a new one. Next paycheck, I'm making a trip to Yongsan, the huge electronics district in Seoul and I'm buying me a brand spanking new camera.

There will be plenty more photos to come, friends, I promise you this.

To date, I have never written a journal entry here on deviantArt, but I felt that today, after having experienced a pivotal moment in my life, one was certainly in order.

So, my friend and I both had an interview today in Vancouver for an ESL job in South Korea. We weren't really sure what to expect of the interview, and were both extremely nervous. I went first, and thought it had gone quite badly. But when I came back to the office after my friend's interview, I found out that we had both been accepted into the program! We have a lot of stuff to do now - first of all graduating from university and getting our degrees, then getting our working visas, and being placed in a school. But if everything works out, we are moving there this September and staying for a year. I am so incredibly thrilled about all of this, and it still hasn't really sunk in that I'm leaving my home, my town, my freakin country in 3 months! To employ a harshly overused cliche: today really is the first day of the rest of my life.

And just think of the amazing photos I'm going to be taking and sharing with all of you! I can't wait!
